PM disqualification raises doubts over legality of federal budget

KARACHI: In light of the prime minister's disqualification, petitions have been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC)  requesting reconsideration of the legality of the Budget 2012-2013 that was approved recently, Express News reported on Wednesday.

The new petitions, along with older ones, stated that the disqualification of the prime minster raises serious questions over the approval of the federal budget.

Since Gilani was declared  ineligible to hold the prime minister's office from April 26, all political and legal actions taken by him since this date should stand null and void, including the federal budget 2012-2013 released on June 1, 2012, stated the petition.

Furthermore, it was also stated that all expenses covered by the government of Pakistan since the disqualification of the prime minster, including his foreign trips, should be reimbursed by Yousuf Raza Gilani himself.

@John B

Keep dreaming about Pakistan's unmaking. Make sure to put it in your will for your children/ grand children and then advise them to do the same.

Now on the news. Gillani should be asked to reimburse all the PM house expenses after April 26th, including cost of trips to UK and other places.
