Property dispute: Notice issued again on Meera’s plea
Civil suit filed by the actress seeking a stay on the transfer of her house in DHA
LAHORE:
Civil Judge Chauhdry Asim Hafeez on Monday again issued notice to Meera’s prospective father-in-law for June 29 on a civil suit filed by the actress seeking a stay on the transfer of her house in Defence Housing Authority (DHA). The notice issued by the judge at the last hearing could not be served on him. The judge had also sought the agreement deed between Irtiza Rubab, alias Meera, and Raja Khalid Pervez, father of the actress’s fiancé. Meera submitted thaat Pervez had exploited his status as her future father-in-law to get her to sign an agreement in March 2008 selling her house to him for Rs20 million, but that he never paid her a penny. She asked the court to declare the sale agreement null and void.
