Football: Premier League fixtures announced

Manchester City will start their campaign at home against Southampton.

News Desk June 18, 2012

Manchester City will start their campaign at home against Southampton in a relatively comfortable match, while Manchester United face a tricky tie away to Everton. Arsenal will host Sunderland at the Emirates and Chelsea will travel to Wigan Athletic on the opening day. September will be tough for Arsenal as they come up against Liverpool, City and Chelsea over the four-week period. Manchester United are likely to be unhappy with the fixture list, as they will have to play away from home after five of their six midweek Uefa Champions League (UCL) matches. Manchester City and Chelsea on the other hand only have to play away once after their UCL midweek fixtures.
