Factory fire: Yarn stock burns

Valuables worth thousands of rupees burned in a fire at a yarn factory in Abad Road on Sunday.

GUJRANWALA: Valuables worth thousands of rupees burned in a fire at a yarn factory in Abad Road on Sunday.  Rescue 1122 officials said fire fighting had started promptly. They said the fire was put out before it could spread to other units in the vicinity. Some witnesses suggested that the fire was caused by a firecracker. They said a group of children was playing with crackers in a vacant plot near the factory. They said one of the crackers had gone into the factory premises. No casualties were reported in the fire.
