Illegal additions: Gates, offices of 4 societies demolished

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority on Friday demolished gates and site offices of four illegal housing schemes on Ferozepur Road and claimed to have filed applications for lodging of FIRs against two private housing schemes for violating rules. A few others were issued fine notices. According to a spokesperson, the authority had given applications against Pak Arab Scheme on Multan Road and River Edge Society on Ferozepur Road for violating laws. He said that Pak Arab Scheme had made unapproved changes to its plan and built a road on an area that had been reserved for a graveyard. The River Edge Society, he said, had added two blocks in their plan.
