Hussain, while addressing a party meeting in Lahore, said that people should not forget Riaz’s services for social and humanitarian causes.
He further stated that there are many people in Pakistan who are far richer than Riaz but are not bothered to spend their money on others.
Hussain added that thousands of people are employed by Riaz’s institutions and even overseas Pakistanis trust him.

How can an "innocent" be exposed ??
ch.sahib, you tell us what secrets are?
WTF Statement!
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, giving an ominous warning, said that business tycoon Malik Riaz holds several “secrets about the rise and fall of past governments” and if he reveals them, many ‘innocents’ will be exposed, Maybe it is not the innocent he is worried about, he is more worried about his own clan and its secrets!!!!!
Innocents??????? like himself...and chudhary Parvez Elahi and many others of the same class.
@Zaheer: I agree with you sir. The CJ was not only aware of his son's activites he was charged by Gen Mush for that in 2007. Even in today's ET there is an Op Ed regarding those charges. http://tribune.com.pk/story/394266/the-son-also-rises/ Thanks and regards, Mirza
Let him reveal the secrets and all must be exposed, In fact Riaz Malik has been exposed, what was doing in the name of humanity just to show the peoel, otherwise the ral face is that waht is he doing presently; blackmailer, and exploiter....
Does no one understand satire, sarcasm or other forms by which hidden meanings are conveyed? It's clear that he was mocking the many so called innocent people in positions of power
Let the secrets be exposed!
@Mubashir: You are again making the fatal assumption that all is well in the judiciary too. What is today called azaad adlia is basically a one man show. The rest just obey as usual as they have done for 65 years, out of the law of necessity.
@Mubashir: He is taunting those who pretends to be innocent in public appearance but are devils in private life. There is no shortage of such characters in our society in every walk of life. Shujaat is not stupid; he is warning some of his opponents that it may be their turn next! I strongly believe that there is rampant corruption in all institutions and parties but some are simply better at keeping their pious images.
@Mirza: Agreed. The most corrupt person in the history of Pakistan is our president and is calling the shots.
Probably his name is also on that list. Not too difficult to imagine, given the exclusive ecosystem the ruling elite has created for itself. What a mix- defence personnel, buisnessmen, politicians, religious leaders, you name it. Each one watching the others back.
Why Shujaat be worried about innocents being exposed, he is worried about corrupt getting exposed.
Mafia dons also do a lot of humanitarian work by the way. That is not justifiable.
This unholy alliance of ppp and pml-q will only give embarassment and shame to pml q and nothing else.
The CJ took action against his son when he learnt that his son may have violated the law
His son is an adult therefore, CJ is not responsible for his conduct.
The only way fingers can be pointed at the CJ is if he knew from months and months back what was going on why did he fail to react then?
Whether Riaz is guilty or not has to be proven in court.
Till the courts decide we need to hold back our opinions and prove that we believe in rule of law and not rule of rumours and accusations
A bigger issue here is the survival of Supreme Court as an independent institution and the coming weeks will show, what steps are take to make sure it does!
Regarding the Philanthropic work no one can deny that at all. Malik Riaz have announced 75 percent of his whole money to be spent on Poor and he indeed made many Hospitals and gave away millions for flood victims So I agree that his Philanthropic work should not be tarnished with this drama. He may be corrupt in this regard but at the same time he helped thousands of poor families. Any poor who approach him used to get a job and at present he employs more than 11,000 People.
Innocents? Does he know any?
He is jolly good fellow n no body can deny. Strange presented by him "if Riaz talk more innocent people will be exposed" what logic present by another top politician. 2nd logic put forward by gentelman that "Riaz record for social n humanitarian services" well2, one wonder if he is addressing to his mirrior image or pleaing for Riaz? Land grabbing, depriving rightful owners from their land/property, by manuplation using all/any private/public machinery for ones own/friends benefits, expertise in fraud, disrespect towards law of the land above all buying law. If this is called social/ humanitarian services than lot of crooks will come in this category n they all should be declared un-touchables. Funny, oh man you are funny.
Ch sb i will if these innocents get exposed
@Mirza
Point well taken! I forgot to observe that innocent was under inverted commas and what Shujaat is saying that if this goes any further a lot of people who appear to be innocent will be exposed.
If that is the case, then the court MUST proceed without delay as we would love to see crooks hiding behind masks of respect be brought to justice.
Among the "innocents", those who have nothing to hide should not be afraid.
Have a nice day!
Well agree with Ch Shujaat, Malik Riaz can expose all these so called patriots, politicians and media tycoons
@Mubashir: Sir do you no satire? It looks like we are losing our sense of humor among these problems. Unfortunately all are innocent till the documentary proofs are brought against them. Some still claim innocence even after making tons of money while in govt service. The whole society is rotten to the core and unless we change/improve ourselves nobody can change our plight. Sorry for being elder brotherly but we should not lose our sense of humor and satire. We don't have much else to lose. Regards, Mirza
Shujaat surely has lot of sympathies for Malik!
He knows which side of the bread is buttered
