Danish Atlas Khan, Hamzah Bokhari, Nasir Iqbal, Tayyab Aslam and Farhan Mehboob (senior squad) will be part of the camp along with head coach Jamshed Gul while Amir Atlas Khan and Yasir Butt will join them at a later date.
“We’ve decided to set up the camp here because the high altitude will help improve the players’ stamina,” Gul told The Express Tribune. “Our focus will be on strenuous training outdoors which will help our players immensely. We’ve set our aims high for the world championship.”
The players will undergo training in two sessions – morning and evening – while practice matches will be held between those sessions. The world championship will start from July 7 in Doha and Gul added that the training sessions will be cut down in order to keep players in shape for the event.
“It’s important that the players go into the event in good shape as that will help them perform.”
