Sindh cabinet: Sharjeel Memon replaces Marri
Memon resigned as information minister over 6 months ago after a fall-out with his party.
KARACHI:
Sharjeel Inam Memon has been reappointed as Sindh’s information minister. Memon replaces Shazia Marri, who has served at the position twice during the current tenure of the Pakistan Peoples Party-led coalition government.
Memon resigned as information minister over 6 months ago after a fall-out with his party over his alleged soft-corner for former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza.
He kept a low-profile after his resignation but resurfaced recently making fiery speeches in support of the president and the prime minister, prompting speculation of his reappointment.
