16 killed in firing incidents in Balochistan

Ten people were killed in a firing incident on a minibus in the Mach area of Balochistan.

Six people were killed and four others were injured in a firing incident in Khilji Town, Quetta.


Police sources said that unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on labourers working near satellite town police station in Khilji town.


The firing killed six people and injured four others, who were shifted to a hospital.


Police and security forces cordoned off the area and commenced a search operation to arresst the attackers.


Ten killed in Mach


In another incident 10 people were killed in a firing incident on a minibus in the Mach area of Balochistan.

The victims were from Lahore, Gujrat and Sargodha.  They were on their way from Lahore to Quetta, when they were stopped and ordered out of their minibus.

At this point, the gunmen opened fire, killing ten passengers and injuring another five.  The shootings took place at Aab Gum in Mach.

The wounded are now being treated at Quetta's BMC Hospital.
