To award students for their outstanding achievements, an annual prize distribution ceremony was held at the Beaconhouse School System Mirpur campus on Tuesday. Daud Shafique, a fifth grader recited and translated verses from the Holy Quran to begin the programme, which was attended by Mirpur University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Professor Naib Muhammad as chief guest, parents and teachers. Students of kindergarten sashayed down the stage in graduation gowns and caps, making their parents proud to receive their graduate degrees. The students will be moving to primary school in the new academic session. The students who received certificates and shields for their brilliant performance in academics sat excitedly, waiting for their names to be called out. The chief guest gave away the prizes. He also expressed his pleasure and appreciation for the accomplished students.
