Talking to Pakistan Television, he said that Pakistan-US relations are important and there is a desire on both sides to build consensus on issues.
Replying to a question, he said that both the sides shared their concerns and perspectives on different issues.
He said nobody should have any doubt about Pakistan's sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He added that Pakistan continues to remain engaged with the US on all issues and decisions would be taken in the best national interest.

Nobody told you to sacrifice your soldiers. Just find the enemy who is killing your soldiers and crush him.
What is then the purpose of having a powerful army and building and testing so many missiles ?
It would be stupid to expect realistic approach from an arrogant power.
@VINOD: World is not you only. Get that fact straight. And If that world is you then we care absolute zero about you. Instead of giving Bhashan on to others, You will be better off to take of 700 Millions poor who live below poverty Line In your country. Poking Nose in other's matters brings nothing but shame. When we will need your opinion, We will inform you. Save yourself time and get a life.
Only Pakistan needs to take realistic approach to US' ties, for instance,Pakistan has not to demand apology on Salala check post's intentional, willingly and wittingly attack from USA,Pakistan has to restore NATO's supply routes,Pakistan has not to condemn US' drones strikes on Pakistani tribal areas and accept these attacks as the security measures for US' nation and sovereignty,US' basic rights and laws, etc. etc. etc........
The master slave relationship must come to an end now,but bad habits die hard !
After replacing the Army chief the civilian government should takeover the negotiations with US independent of the Army. Is is possible?
Time to eat the humble pie?
In plain english US should look world from Pakistani prism. ROFL
The FO says "He said nobody should have any doubt about Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism" But the world has lots and lots of doubt. People have great doubt in the theory of good taliban and bad taliban. The good terrorists? Look at the way Difae Pakistan is backing them. See what warnings the TTP is issuing in Waziristan.
I would argue that the USA military has adopted a very realistic approach to Pakistan -- it no longer trust you and apparently won't put itself in a position where it has to rely on you.
