In the Pakistani media, liberals are more intolerant than their conservative counterparts. This claim sounds odd because tolerance is something that is always championed by liberals. They always accuse conservatives of being intolerant. But a close look at the writings and speeches of liberals reveals the fact that they are not ready to accept anyone with ideas different from theirs. This attitude is also reflected in comments on any article related to religion and/or eastern values. Liberals, it seems, are also quite happy with the deaths of innocent people in drone attacks.
If liberals talk about intolerance in society, they have to step forward and show tolerance themselves for those who don’t agree with their liberal ideas.
