PALLEKELE: A six wicket haul from Thisara Perera restricted Pakistan to 204 all out as they chased Sri Lanka's total of 280 from the allotted 50 overs in the second one day international.
Pakistan, who had won the first match, looked to be on their way after opener Azhar Ali made 96. However, his departure signaled a late order collapse as Pakistan lost its last five wickets for mere 47 runs.
Earlier, Sri Lanka scored a challenging 280-4 after electing to bat against Pakistan in the second one-day international in Pallekele on Saturday.
Opener Tillakaratne Dilshan top-scored for Sri Lanka with an unbeaten 119, hitting one six and 11 fours in his 139-ball knock.
Pakistan lead 1-0 in the five-match series following their six-wicket win in the opening one-dayer on Thursday.
Pakistan made one change as they brought in debutant paceman Rahat Ali in place of injured Mohammad Sami, while Sri Lanka retained the side.

Although Pakistan lost the second ODI to Sri Lanka Pakistan can take lot of solace from the batting of Azhar Ali who batted superbly and stylishly.A star has born for Pakistan.It is advisable to induct Shafiq too into the Team to strengthen the batting line up.
For God Sake .....get rid of this professor . Who made him T20 captain?
We desperately need another batman in the team who can also bowl. Shoaib Malik? Hammad is more of a bowler.

@dumb, Yes agree with Khan, It's a deserved victory for SL- the team who performed better on the field.
@dumb: Deserved win for Sri Lanka .. Catches win matches and they are excellent at catching at the moment. Our batsmen seemed hesitant from hitting apart from Azhar Ali who adopted attacking style thus easily made 96 runs.
