Snooker: Saleh clinches Peshawar event

PESHAWAR: Afghanistan cueist Saleh Muhammad won the International Ranking Play for Peace Tournament. Saleh beat Imran Shehzad 5-2 with frame scores 64-50, 71-23, 56-29, 68-14, 74-46, 77-23, 72-50. “I had little pressure before as my opponent was experienced but I played with confidence” Saleh told The Express Tribune. “My message is that people of both countries should eradicate all differences for the betterment of their next generation.” Secretary Sports Museum and Archeology Saeed Jamal uddin Shah awarded the trophy and cash prize of Rs70,000 to the winner and Rs40,000 to the runner-up.
