Extreme step: Girl commits suicide in Torghar

MANSEHRA: A teenaged girl committed suicide under unknown circumstances in Torghar district here on Thursday. Jadbah police quoted Gulshan Bibi of  Mangray village, Kameer as saying that her daughter Naheed, 16, was engaged to Muhammad Saeed of the same village and they were to get married soon. However, while the family members were having dinner, Naheed locked herself in a room and shot herself with a 12-bore rifle. When her family heard the gunshot, they rushed to the room to find her lying dead in a pool of blood. Naheed’s reasons for committing suicide were not immediately clear. Police said they are investigating the case.
