Line of control: Goods worth Rs13.9m traded

As many as 16 trucks came from the trade facilitation centre of Poonch to Rawalakot in Azad Jammu and Kashmir

MIRPUR: Trade between Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian-held Kashmir is rising gradually as on Friday goods worth over Rs13.9 million were traded at the Line of Control (LOC), officials say. As many as 16 trucks came from the trade facilitation centre of Poonch to Rawalakot in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, bringing bananas, cumin, herbs and red chilli worth Rs5.14 million. From AJK, six trucks carrying potatoes, onions, dry dates and almonds worth Rs8.80 million went to the other side of LOC.

Officials from both sides monitor transportation of goods every day.
