SANAA: The wife of al Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri has congratulated Muslim women for the role they have played in the Arab Spring and urged them to raise their children for jihad.

“I congratulate all Muslim women for these blessed revolutions,” Umaima Hassan Ahmed Mohammed Hassan wrote in a letter posted on the Al-Fajr website on Friday.

She further advised women to raise their children with lessons of jihad and martyrdom and “instil in them a love for religion and death”.

In doing so, “each woman would raise her child to be a new Saladin by telling him ‘it is you who will restore the grandeur of the Islamic nation and you will liberate Jerusalem.'”

Saladin was a 12th century Kurdish general who became the first sultan of Egypt and whose forces defeated Crusader armies in a battle that led to the eventual fall of the Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem.

The text also counseled women to continue to wear the veil and to encourage their husbands and sons to “free the prisoners wherever they are… such as the widows of our martyr Osama bin Laden, who are languishing with their children in a Pakistani prison.”

The last passage indicates that the message was written before Bin Laden’s widows and children were expelled from Pakistan at the end of April.

I’m more surprised she’s allowed to talk than anything.

“free the prisoners wherever they are… such as the widows of our martyr Osama bin Laden, who are languishing with their children in a Pakistani prison.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but, they weren’t exactly languishing in a prison when they were still in Pakistan, were they?

It seems Ayman al-Zawahiri has started preparing his wife to lead Al-Qaida after his death. Why love for death and not for life madam?

Today the worst sufferers of terrorism are muslims all over the world. They are even fighting among themselves as in Syria etc. This nonsense has to stop. Muslims have as much right to live peacefully as any other. It is time to embrace ‘LIVE and Let LIVE’ principle. Hate has no place in the modern world. Please do NOT teach your children the message of hate of others contained in this kind of Jihad. Let every muslim live the life of a God fearing honest human being. Let service of mankind be the new kind of Jihad. Think of a peace loving peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.

It’s Salahuddin, not Saladin. Why follow the English version when even the Hollywood movie chose to use Salahuddin?

What type of Jihad she is talking about? one should first do Jihad against his/her soul which is more important. You cant just go out and start cleaning up the world when you dont have your backyard clean.

saladin was kurdish. If a kurdish saladin were to born today, he would first free his own kurdish people from the repressive rules of turks, iraqis, and iranians.

What an illiterate wife and human being. Instead of teaching her children about love and peace she would rather promote her own hate. A shame to humanity.

    Hey guys…

Look at the brighter side,a hardcore Islamist terrorist is giving more freedom to his women compared to the normal people….

BTW,the woman should read better about Saladin…Even in a christian dominated Hollywood, they showed Saladin as a benevolent king who forgave the defeated and allowed them for a safe passage to Europe…..I hope she watches the movie “Kingdom of Heaven” ..

I still dont know how attacking innocent civilians could ever be termed to bravery….Thats cowardice to the core….

How many wives does Zawahiri have? I remember two of his wives were killed in a single U.S. bombing in Afghanistan in Fall 2001. Is it mandatory for each Al Qaeda leader to have multiple wives?

@ Imran Haider – there is a lot of truth in what you say. These so called leaders enjoy life themselves. They are sadists who take pleasure in other innocent people being killed. Think of young muslim boys being trained as suicide bombers. Think of what their parents get out out of losing their their loved ones. Pakistanis are intelligent and hard working people. Think of Pakistan being a properous industrial giant. That is what Pakistanis deserve to have.

Well, that’s how children are basically raised in Palestine. They are indoctrinated from birth basically to strive to become suicide bombers. Have you ever actually watched any of the Palestinian children’s shows? It’s crazy, these are shows for very young children, like Tomorrow’s Pioneers, etc., that have people dressed up as animals (rabbits, mice, etc.) and sing songs about becoming martyrs, etc. In schools, they teach the children songs that say they will spill their blood for Palestine, etc. I’ve seen so many interviews with Palestinian mothers who will come right out and say the entire reason they had children was to send them off to become suicide bombers.

Does Umaima Hassan approve that women and girls are denied of their rights to education? She is fortunate enough to be able read and write. How about other women in some tribal areas, shouldn’t they be able to do the same?

We take our steps and decisions based on Islamic rulings and our values and beliefs are fundamental. Thus, we would call upon each liberal/secular person to review his eeman before saying things against Mujahideen. Remember its the duty of infidels to defame us, and if you follow them because of their power then be aware that every one has to die and confront Allah on the Judgement day.

As for 9/11 attacks they were done by mujahideen, and they were counter-attacks rather then aggressive ones! And if a Muslim wants its justification then go through the usage of catapult on the people of Taif after ghazwa-e-hunein. And to the infidels we say; before u criticize, do review the pre-9/11 times, when muslims of somal, sudan, bosnia, chechnya and elsewhere were being lashed and discriminated. Did u forget the entrance of crusade armies within Arabian peninsula triggering the war. Did u forget the post-9/11 bombings of Afghanistan? Had not America aided Israel (of course for the cause of Greater Israel), they would not have been attacked. America had killed hundreds of muslims in somalia medicine factory aerial bombing before 1998 (before American embassies were hit), did u ever recalled that?
Oh Muslims, as we are indulged in military war, there is one more war going on, in which everyone is indulged, and that is a war of hearts and minds, a war between Man~of~Soul and Man~of~Allah, a war between liberal/secular forces and fundamentalist forces, and in simple words a war between kufr and islam. Now you are to decide who will you side with.
