Neurosurgeon’s murder: President, CJ asked for justice

Justice regarding the murder of a professor of neurosurgery at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences.

LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Tariq Salahuddin has written a letter to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani regarding the murder of Professor Aftab Qureshi, a professor of neurosurgery at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro. He asked that notice be taken of the death of his colleague. “Dr Aftab Qureshi was one of the very few professors of neurosurgery in this country ... and he was yet another name added to the never ending list of daily street executions,” the letter read.
