HARIPUR: A woman was allegedly thrashed and disrobed by her son-in-law and his father in Ghazi on Wednesday. The police quoted Rasheeda Begum saying that when she went to visit her daughter, Kaynat Bibi, she saw her being beaten up by her husband, Changaiz Khan, and her father-in-law Iftikhar. When Begum tried to rescue her daughter, the two men pounced at her and allegedly beat her up and tore off some of her clothes. She told the police that the two men then locked her up in a room, where she spent the night. In the morning, her daughter helped her flee. Police registered a case against the two men under section 346, 506 and 254 of the Pakistan Penal Code and arrested Khan. Khan’s father is still at large.
