The official in Peshawar claimed that in retaliation, the security forces killed several militants however, their number could not be confirmed.
He said that hundreds of militants attacked the check post in which one official of the Frontier Corps (FC) was killed while three were injured. “A team of security officials lifted and rushed the injured security officials to a hospital,” he said.
In November 2011, Nato forces in Afghanistan attacked the Salala check post and killed 26 security officials of Pakistan. After the attack, Pakistan closed the Nato supply routes to Afghanistan which constrained relations between the governments of Pakistan and US.

Isn't Pakistan supposed to ask the Taliban for an apology? All you have to do after bombing the heck out of the outposts is apologize and everything is back to normal. Sweet. What do you need a military for?
Its soo ironic and simple that it is simple to understand that USA(CIA) IS training these terrorists and giving them arms , so that they attack our soldiers. We should ask Panetta to give to clear understanding that with all these foreign foces based on the border how is it possible that such large number of miliants can attack our army posts ? are the foreign forces sleeping or are they actually a RORGUE USA,NATO ARMY AND ROGUE SECRET SERVICES SUCH AS CIA, RAW. M15,M16 and other operating secret services.
We need to wake up
@omer: Good job on comparing Taliban to US/NATO. Two sides of the same coin. No supply lines for Taliban or NATO/US forces. Pakistanis don't want anything to do with either.
Fantastic point, Omer. It has become impossible for Pakistan to live a decent, normal, honest life between the two evils of the Taliban and the US being externally imposed on the peaceful country.
@omer: Aptly said.
now how would we retaliate ? close down "supply routes" and demand an apology from taliban? ironic. we have become sandwitched between nato (moderen terrorists) and talibans (mediaval terrorists). while our government has important issues like disqualifications to deal with :)
Such a large number of militants attack our posts and go back to their hideout in Afghanistan yet NATO or Afghan Forces take no action at all. NATO isn't even trying to hide the fact that these "militants" are supported by US.
Hundreds of militants attacked the check post and killed one FC personnel. I am impressed by the FC ability of fighting back.
