Behind bars: Three men charged with killing MPA
Haider was shot dead on August 2, 2010 in North Nazimabad along with his gunman.

The Anti-Terrorism Court-I formally charged three men on Monday with the alleged murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MPA Raza Haider. Haider was shot dead on August 2, 2010 in North Nazimabad along with his gunman. Reports at the time stated that six men were believed to have opened fire on Haider. The ATC-I, charged three men – Waseem Ahmed, Mohammad Abdullah and Hafiz Ikhlaq - on Monday, under sections 7 (A), 7 (B) and 7 (C) of the Anti-Terrorism Act , which deals with the punishments for an act of terrorism that causes or attempts to cause the death of a person and grievous harm. The men were also charged with murder and attempted murder according to the Pakistan Penal Code. The prosecution has been asked to produce witnesses at the next hearing, set for July 2. The case is being heard in Central Jail by the ATC-I. The First Information Report 659/2010 was filed under sections of the Pakistan Penal Code that deal with murder and attempted murder, as well as section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
