Sohail Tanvir retained for Sri Lanka ODIs
The 27-year-old fast bowler failed to make the original one-day squad but was included at the request of team managers. Tanvir replaced opener Nasir Jamshed who suffered a finger injury before the tour began.
Tanvir was declared man of the two-match Twenty20 series which Pakistan levelled on Sunday with a thumping 23-run win in Hambantota. Sri Lanka won the first match, also in Hambantota, on Friday by 37 runs.
Chief selector Iqbal Qasim confirmed Tanvir's inclusion.
"In view of the request from the team management and keeping in consideration the current form of Tanvir, the selection committee has decided that he may be retained for the one-day series in Sri Lanka," Qasim said in a Pakistan Cricket Board statement.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka play the first of five one-day matches at Pallekele on Thursday. The one-days will be followed by three Tests.
Tanvir has 55 wickets in 43 one-day games.

no hammad azam = no future fast bowling all rounder......
I am worried about a talent being wasted here, that is Hammad Azam ! He needs to be given place not in and out of team. Akmal needs to come 1 down. What is wrong with Hammad Azam, just do not get it.

I still believe that the selection for odi's was worst amongst all teams, what hammad azam did wrong in bangladesh ?? he scored valuable 30 in final, shoaib malik also ignored, he's any day better than younis khan given he plays with the strike rate of 80+, on the contrary younis khan spends 30+ balls in settling in and end up scoring big with the strike rate of 70 - even if you score 70 runs out of 100 balls, you can reach to totals in the range of 210-250 not 280+
I don't understand the team selection done by the PCB. The selection was poor in the T20s
Umar Akmal has lost it by his poor shot selection since God knows when. He should play as a keeper in the T20s.
Khalid Lateef and that new wicket keeper have taken the space of Kamran Akmal for his explosive batting and Asad Shafiq for his perfect temperment.
Good decision. They should have retained Malik also for odis. I think he can be an asset if he gets a few more matches. It is same Shoib who scored a double century and was behind inzamam and Yousuf in batting average or call up Kamran Akmal because batting is still brittle. If will still depend on Misbah and Younus to carry all the load.
