Ajmal, 30, had visited the Highway Department’s office for the compensation on a number of occasions.
But it has been alleged that he was asked to pay a bribe of Rs1.5 million to receive the compensation. He made an earning by varnishing cars.
It has also been reported that the government had compensated all the other affected people.

Normally when people commit suicide over some incident, it reflects some underlying psychiatric illness. I believe that even if he didn't have a problem with his house, some other incident would have set him the fellow off to do something self destructive.
Was this a federal government project? Who demanded the bribe from him?
