LAHORE: Another petition has been filed at the Supreme Court’s Lahore registry seeking the disqualification of National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza over her ruling regarding the disqualification of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.  The petition, filed by Advocate Shahid Naseem Gondal, says that the speaker’s ruling undermined the Supreme Court judgement in the contempt case against the prime minister. It asks the court to declare that the speaker’s ruling had no legal effect, and to suspend her membership of the National Assembly till the petition is decided.  A similar petition was filed at the Supreme Court by another advocate on May 29.
