Preparation: Early release of National Games’ fund sought
POA Secretary says athletes will be given hotel accommodation, good arrangement to ensure event is a huge success.

The Punjab Olympic Association (POA) wants to launch its preparation for the 32nd National Games due to be held in October and has requested the provincial government to release the funding as soon as possible.
According to POA Secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja, over 11,000 athletes will take part in the event so the association wanted to get everything organised ahead of time.
“We don’t want to be finalising things late in the day which is why we’re seeking an early release of funds,” Khawaja told The Express Tribune. “The budget will be around Rs50m. The sooner we get the funds, the better the event will be.”
Khawaja added that the athletes will be given hotel accommodation plus good arrangement to ensure the event is a huge success.
