Accident: Eight injured in gas cylinder blast

The explosion occurred at a LPG filling shop due to which the roof of the shop collapsed.

FAISALABAD: Eight people, including five children, were injured in a gas cylinder blast in Saddar on Friday. The explosion occurred at a LPG filling shop in Dhuddiwala on Jaranwala Road due to which the roof of the shop collapsed. The explosion led to fire that spread to the adjacent shops within minutes, which was put out in an hour by Rescue 1122 teams. The injured were identified as: shopkeeper Muhammad Ahmad, 50;  Sohail, 12, Zeeshan, 12, Abdul Khaliq, 14, Adnan Ahmad,14, Ajmal, Saleh and an unidentified 12-year-old. Some of them were taken to Civil Hospital and others to Allied Hospital, where two of the children, Zeeshan and Adnan, were reported to be in a critical condition.
