Wali Khan Babar case: Trial date rescheduled to June 14

KARACHI: The trial of the men accused of killing Geo TV journalist Wali Khan Babar, did not proceed as scheduled on Friday since the investigating officer of the case could not appear at Anti-Terrorism Court III for personal reasons.

Babar was killed on January 13, 2011. The First Information Report of the case deals with charges of murder and common intention as well as section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act. The case will next be heard on June 14. Five men, as well as a number of accomplices who are being considered as absconders, are accused in the case.
