Busted: 17 arrested on gambling charges
A total 17 suspects were arrested for gambling by the Margalla police in Islamabad on Friday.
The police raided two gambling dens in Mehran Plaza in G-9 Markaz and seized Rs36,000 in stake money, 13 mobile phones, a computer and other valuable items from the suspects, a police spokesperson said, adding that they had been directed to be vigilant against such activities.
The nabbed persons have been identified as: Naseer Ahmed, Naveed Ahmed, Atif, Zafar Iqbal, Nadeem, Shamshad, Asif, Abdul Jabbar, Shehbaz Butt, Anwar, Imran Khan, Muneer Ahmed, Kamran Saeed, Tahir, Khalid Masih, Abdul Majeed and Majid Mehmud. The police registered cases against the suspects.
