KARACHI:
Three men accused of carrying out a kidnapping have been acquitted of all charges. Arbab, Ali Dost and Abdullah were implicated in the case and were allegedly arrested after a raid in Faqeera Goth by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell to rescue a hostage. The court proceedings have been going on since early 2011. The kidnapping case dates to 2010. According to the defence lawyer Javed Iqbal, the Anti-Terrorism Court II found on Thursday that there was insufficient evidence and witnesses to prosecute the men.
