Murder in Sindh: Neurosurgeons observe Black Day

Doctors will protest again if the suspect were not arrested promptly.

LAHORE: Doctors from the Lahore General Hospital’s Neurosurgery Department on Thursday observed a token strike and Black Day over the murder of Dr Aftab Quraishi, a neurosurgeon at Jamshoro University in Sindh. Addressing a press conference, Professor Tariq Salahuddin, Principal of the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) said the billing was a national tragedy. He demanded a judicial inquiry into the murder. He said that doctors will protest again if the suspect were not arrested promptly. He was joined at the press conference by Professor Nazir Ahmad, Professor Naveed Ashraf, Dr Khalid Mahmood, Capt (r) Muhammad Bashir and Dr Anwar Chaudhry.
