SWAT: A man died after being tortured by security forces at Bishbanbr, Tehsil Charbagh. Three days back, the security forces inflicted violence on Noor Ahmad, a woodcutter, leaving him critically injured. He was taken to a hospital, where he died of injuries, said sources. The locals have protested, demanding the higher authorities for justice. On the other hand, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Swat spokesman Col Arif said that Noor had been ill for a year and died of natural causes. In another incident, an elderly man was killed by the security forces firing during a routine search operation in Gogdara area on Wednesday. According to local newspapers, security forces opened fire at Ali Mohammad, 50, on Tuesday. Ali was a “respectable man” and father of six. He had no affiliations with the Taliban, said locals. When the ISPR spokesman was contacted for his version, he said that the man was killed in crossfire.
