Collateral damage?: Two civilians killed in Khyber blitz

Two civilians were killed and a woman was injured when warplanes bombed a house in Tirah Valley.

JAMRUD: At least two civilians were killed and a woman was injured when warplanes bombed a house in the Dwatoi area of Tirah Valley, Khyber Agency, on Monday.

The dead were identified as Noor Baz and his son Shahi Baz by a local tribesman. The injured woman was Noor Baz’s wife Shahi Baz. Afridi said the deceased have been buried in the Islam Dara area of Jamrud sub-division.

He claimed that around 11pm, fighter jets launched an attack in the area, completely destroying Noor Baz’s house. Assistant Political Agent Bakhtiar Mohmand termed the incident unfortunate.
