MULTAN: Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company in collaboration with the Livestock Department will give Rs1,500 as incentive to cattle farmers. This was announced by District Officer (DO) Jafar Raza while talking to some reporters on Tuesday. The DO said some 1,000 cattle had been registered for improving meat production.  “Farms with 10 or more cattle are being registered in the Multan district. The registered farms are offered free consultancy.” He said the project also helped farmers sell their cattle to international buyers. He urged the farmers to provide suitable environment and proper feeding to the cattle for healthy weight gain. This, he added, would mean an open atmosphere, clean pens, plenty of water both for bathing and drinking purposes and timely feeding.
