LAHORE: A murder suspect was taken into custody by Burki police after the Lahore High Court rejected his bail plea on Tuesday. The accused, with the help of family members in the court, tried to flee after the judge announced his decision, but family members of the murder victim and the police stopped him. Idrees is accused of killing his neighbour Naziran Bibi, 75, with a blow to the head with a hatchet in a dispute over the construction of a drain. The trial court had earlier rejected his bail plea too.
