Family feud: Kidnapped girls released
The girls were kidnapped from Soomra Panhwari village near Pannu Aqil on Tuesday because of a family feud.
Two teenage girls were kidnapped but returned safely after community elders intervened.
The girls were kidnapped from Soomra Panhwari village near Pannu Aqil on Tuesday because of a family feud. Ghulam Ali of Soomra Panhwari village and Madiha Shah of Jacobabad eloped and got married without consent which angered the girl’s family. The girls were returned the same day after elders of the Syed community intervened and requested the parents of Madiha Shah to let them go as the kidnapping was an act of reprisal and had nothing to do with them. The couple, however, is still on the run.
