Polio eradication: Senators urged to spread awareness
Senate Chairman says eradication of polio from the country was an area of high priority for the government.
ISLAMABAD:
Senate Chairman Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari has said that eradication of polio from the country was an area of high priority for the government as only healthy children can become productive citizens and useful members of society.
He expressed these views in a meeting with a delegation of Rotary International led by its President Kalyan Banerjee.
He told the delegation that polio eradication campaign was going well except in Fata and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and there was a dire need for proactive role of senators from these areas to spread awareness.
