Far-flung gas supplies: Rs2b projects completed in Samundri

Minister inaugurated a Rs60 million project for supplying gas from Digkot town to Muridke covering 500 villages

FAISALABAD: As many as Rs2 billion gas projects have been completed in Samundri tehsil over four years, Federal Minister for Environmental Change Rana Farooq Saeed said on Sunday. He was speaking after inaugurating a Rs60 million project for supplying gas from Digkot town to Muridke covering 500 villages and 700,000 people, Saeed said that the PPP was implementing a policy to facilitate impoverished classes. “Our focus is on underdeveloped areas, which house more than 70 per cent of the population,” he said.
