OSLO:
England manager Roy Hodgson admitted midfielder Gareth Barry is facing a Euro 2012 fitness battle after he suffered a groin injury in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Norway. Barry had replaced skipper Steven Gerrard at half-time, but was then taken off midway through the second period at the Ullevaal Stadium. “Barry worries me,” said Hodgson. “We need to get the injury scanned. We don’t have much time left and if it is serious then we will need to think about it. I’m not prepared to say it’s serious at the moment. All I’m going to say is that it’s going to demand our attention and we don’t have a lot of time.”
