Cricket: Easy wins for Gymkhana, Kuwait

Low-scoring matches take place in Pakistan Champions League.

Defending champions Nazimabad Gymkhana continued their unbeaten run in the 2nd Pakistan Champions League with a nine-wicket win over Hyderabad’s Khan Sports yesterday.


Batting first, Khan Sports could only manage 68 for nine in 20 overs as Imran Ali picked up four wickets while Babar Rehman and Iqbal Sheikh bagged two scalps each. In reply, Gymkhana raced to the target in just 7.1 overs with Owais Rehmani scoring 32 and Zeeshan Jameel making 22.

Meanwhile, Kuwait beat Abbottabad’s SG Jadoon by five wickets. SG Jadoon were bowled out for 129 in 19.5 overs as Kashif got five wickets off his four overs. Kuwait chased down the target, scoring 130 for five in 19 overs as Saud Qamar top-scored with 26.
