Crime: Gang of robbers busted
Police said they recovered hand grenades, pistols and ammunition from the possession of the arrested suspects.
ISLAMABAD:
The city police on Thursday busted a gang of robbers involved in robberies in different areas of Islamabad and Murree districts. The Bhara Kahu police said they recovered hand grenades, pistols and ammunition from the possession of the arrested suspects. After multiple cases of robberies in the jurisdiction of the police station, the Bhara Kahu police monitored the movement of felons with police records. The suspects were arrested while planning to strike at different places in Islamabad. During initial investigations, the suspects confessed to carrying out highway robberies and striking at ten places in Bhara Kahu, Shahzad Town and Murree. Police also recovered cash, six cell phones and other looted items. The arrested suspects were identified as Nusrat Bilal of Pind Bagwal, Khuram Shehzad, Nasir, Asad, Adnan and Tufail.
