During the first day of the talks, India had shared additional evidence with Pakistan linking Saeed to the Mumbai attacks.
Speaking to the media after holding talks with Indian Home Secretary RK Singh, Malik said that Pakistan wants to resolve all issues with India for peace and stability in the region.
He added that Pakistan and India are working together to evolve a mechanism to implement new visa regime which was agreed in principle by both the countries, and added that the new visa regime would be signed in a short span of time.
Answering a question‚ Malik said that Pakistan had arrested a number of persons involved in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Recently, a judicial commission of Pakistan had visited India and will submit its report before the court, he added.
'Pakistan delayed pact signing'
Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai said that the only thing that remains for a liberalised visa regime pact between India and Pakistan to be signed, is the latter’s desire to have a heavyweight political involvement when signing the pact.
Speaking to media, Mathai said that the Indian team comprising Secretary to Home Minister, and heads of the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) had travelled to Pakistan “fully prepared” to sign the visa agreement as per the discussions between President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian premier Manmohan Singh during the former’s one-day trip to India earlier in April.
Pakistan has also invited Indian Home Minister Chidambaram, who maintains that he would visit the country at a convenient time, Mathai said.
It was previously believed that after formalities were completed in the Islamabad meeting between Home and Interior secretaries of India and Pakistan respectively, a pact would be signed when the Indian foreign minister visits Pakistan for bilateral talks in late July.

Kaalchakra & Hasan - I really enjoy reading your comments. Keep it up. It makes my day to see people like you growing more restless when India is winning all diplomatic war on Pakistan. So bhai log, please continue pleasing yourself with the false history that "U" embarrassed India in 1965 war and about Hafiz being a respectable professor, until somebody throws a cold water on you to wake u up from fantasy. Longer you dream, bitter will be the truth when u wake up. And I am enjoying to see you dreaming more. Keep dreaming .....Cheers!
@kaalchakra: Since when did a terrorism mastermind become a "professor" and what kind of "charity work" Hafeez Saeed has exactly done besides ordering the killings of unarmed men, women and children by machine-gun wielding killers who have admitted having links to "Professor" Saeed? The man would earn respect if his armed thugs faced Indian soldiers in a fair and straight contest.
Hasan
Salam alaikum, bhaijaan. Indians shouldn't be given any quarter. They are given an inch today even in acknowledgement, they will be all over Pakistan tomorrow. There is a reason why they have been slaves for a thousand years. We should keep it that way.
(A liberal friend of mine, MNI, only deals with Indians who disagree with him by abusing them. But those of us with better taste need not do that, so it is best to ignore them.)
This man is a known terrorist (No country in the world including the Middle East will provide him with a visa) - However in Pakistan is he a hero - SHAMEFUL
“India’s evidence against Hafiz Saeed to be reviewed” Shall I provide the bin where this evidence will be found after it is reviewed?
Haha, shame somebody beat me to it because this was my immediate reaction as well. Who knows, maybe when Delhi is snubbed yet again, we will see Hindustani forces try to mobilise themselves along the border again, and probably end up blowing up another 850 of their own soldiers in the process again...just like they did in 2002.
@kaalchakra
Brother I read your comments regularly and almost always agree with your words - but in the case of Dawood Ibrahim, I peronally am delighted at the thought that we are protecting this asset and using him when needed against the Hindustanis. Why should we be scared to admit this fact? What in the world are the Hindustanis going to do about it...breach our border? Invade Lahore? They already tried that in 1965, and I'm pretty sure the embarrassng fallout of their failure will stay in their memories for at least a few more generations.

@Jat Awesome comment dude .... Mr Hafiz saeed is a professor and guessing what he teaches ..
@kaalchakra: You forgot the prefix 'Doctor' this time ! Please be careful while addressing such eminent personalities.
@kaalchakra: When has/had the British Govt or the Queen Bestowed upon Hafiz Saeed the Order of the British Empire title, for you have been addressing him with the prefix Sir, Amusing to read it though. A proclaimed offender "freedom fighter" being addressed that way. Rgds P
Innocent Bhai/Behen
That is hardly an 'innocent' comment. It is far more intelligent than anything people say when they blame 'terrorists' for the violence within Pakistan and against various Pakistani groups. Wish more Pakistanis had your clear eyes so justice could prevail and peace could return to the innocent nation.

Well said. But nothing will ever keep Indians from maligning Pakistan. If despite Pakistan's repeated protests, they can keep accusing such a model of humility and humanity as Maulana Sir Professor Hafiz Saeed Sahib of supporting violence, we can expect them to make up anything to hurt Pakistan and weaken its armed forces.
Any terrorism is the birth of Injustice. I don’t know why people either ignore or doesn’t understand the root cause of a certain issue or problem. Example…The issue is not Hafiz Saeed But the root cause of so called terrorism or Hafiz Saeed like elements is injustice for year in Kashmir occupied by India and using force and suppressing the voice of the innocent people or violating the democratic right of the people of Kashmir. Why India has not been accepting the resolution of UNO or international community and giving the right to the people of the land to choose their Path. If India has been using force and violence against the innocent and helpless people of Kashmir for years, which is the root cause…then what will be the results definitely fight for the own democratic right or freedom and hence the raise of so called terrorism which is basically freedom fight or fight for the right. Hence people need not to be double standard instead accepting faults or injustice in system. I couldn’t expect any violence or terrorism in the world if True Justice is there without self interest or propaganda wars for power.
i thought to find some creativity in comments section.....n m glad that m not disappointed
@kaalchakra: Not only that, the Indians show the same attitude towards the well known international security and chemicals business tycoon Mr Dawood Ibrahim.
They will never learn I guess.
Shocking to see repeated attempts by India to keep maligning Professor Dr Maulana Hafiz Saeed Sahib, painting him as terrorist-in-chief instead of the great charity worker and pride of Pakistan that we know he is.
Shamelessness thy name is Indo-Pak politics.
