Price control: ‘Magistrates not doing their jobs’

LAHORE: DCO Noorul Amin Mengal has expressed concern over the performance of price control magistrates in view of complaints from citizens about overcharging for essential items.

The magistrates’ performance has been “absolutely poor” and “disappointing”, he said. He said that he had ordered all price control magistrates to take strict action against profiteers in their areas and to ensure the provision of essential commodities at fixed prices.
