Admissions policy: NED’s council proposes amendments
Javed Aziz Khan said that the amendments would be effective from January 2013.
KARACHI:
The Academic Council of the NED University of Engineering and Technology has proposed some amendments to the admission policy. NED’s registrar, Javed Aziz Khan said that the amendments would be effective from January 2013 after the approval by the syndicate which is to meet in June. He said that the amendments were pertaining to an increase in the number of seats from 1,928 to 1,952, the enhancement in the eligibility ladder from 40 marks in entry test to 50 marks, and an enhancement in the fee. Those seeking admission against a self-finance seat will have to pay Rs500,000 against the existing Rs450,000 while those obtaining admissions under regular seats will have to pay Rs17,000 from the present Rs15,000 for the first semester only.
