TOKYO:
World badminton number one Lee Chong Wei needs a ‘miracle’ if he is to take part in the London Olympics after suffering an ankle injury in a Thomas Cup match in Wuhan. Lee tore an ankle tendon in his match against Denmark’s Peter Gade earlier this week. “We don’t know how long he will need to recover and it will probably be a miracle if he does make it in time,” said the Malaysia’s Youth and Sports Minister Shabery. The grand event in London begins on July 27.
