FAISALABAD: A man was shot dead by his brother-in-law on Wednesday for remarrying. Saddar police said Liaqat, a resident of Chak 352-GB, was married to his cousin and had four children from the marriage. Four months ago he contracted another marriage without seeking the consent of his wife. Police said when his brother-in-law, Sajid, found out about his second marriage a few days ago this led to an argument between them. This was followed by an exchange of hot words after which Sajid shot Liaqat killing him on the spot. Police said they are looking for Sajid.
