Drug trade: Man awarded 7 years imprisonment

Man was caught on Narwala Road carrying 3,300 grams of hashish in a rickshaw.

FAISALABAD: Additional Session Judge Qaisar Nazeer Butt on Wednesday convicted one Shaukat Ali for seven years of rigorous imprisonment for possessing narcotics. The judge also fined him Rs50,000. The prosecution told the court that on July 7 last year, Butt, a resident of Lahore, was caught on Narwala Road carrying 3,300 grams of hashish in a rickshaw. Inspector Muhammad Abid told the court that Butt had hidden the packet underneath his clothes.
