A crack appeared in the window next to the first officer’s seat, due to which the PIA plane made its way to Karachi to have the problem fixed.
A PIA spokesperson said that once the issue is addressed the flight would resume its journey to Jeddah.

Yes you don't hear some thing like this everyday yet a window crack is not very rare and it does happen time to time. Mostly it is the outer layer of window which serves only to protect the inner structural layer and therefore poses no serious threat to passenger safety or plane structure. Please lets not get carried away.
A crack occurred in the window next to first officer's seat. - Report it was a breath of fresh air for the cockpit crew ...
@Shakib: This is a very brave statement you make. You could be sued in Germany for making such a statement in black and white without evidence. Be careful. There is no nepotisim here that would cost peoples lives as could have with PIA. Nobody is perfect, but dont compare bananas with apples.
due to technical difficulties
That's not a technical difficulty, that's a broken aircraft!
PIA flights to Saudi Arabia seem to encounter a lot of problems. I wonder why?
@Shakib: But they must be competent & sincere to their assignments.
@Pinky:
Umm, in case you've been living in a cave for the past four years, we have a parliament full of convicts, fake degree holders, feudal lords and thugs. What did you think would go on?
@Ashar: I live in Germany. There is an enormous amount of nepotism here, probably more than in Pakistan. All the top executives in the major companies here are related to one another via family, and it is very hard for a talented outsider to join their ranks. Pakistan's problem is economics and religious/cultural extremism.
PIA has serious maintenance issues of old aircrafts which would be declared not fit for purpose in any first world country ... they tend to buy and run "used and abused" junk of the western world... is this how much you value the lives of your people ?
WHAT in the name of GOD is going on?!!!
This is where nepotism is taking us to.
