‘Targeted Killing’: Chief warden of jail killed
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.

Mach Central Jail’s Chief Warden Shaukat Ali Kethran was shot dead by unidentified persons in Tehsil Mach area of Bolan District on Tuesday. According to the police, Kethran was attacked near the jail by two unidentified people on a motorbike who opened fire at him. “The warden was on his way to wake up his colleagues when armed men targeted him,” sources said. The attackers immediately fled the scene. His body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy. “It could be a case of targeted killing,” a local police officer said, adding that a manhunt was launched to trace the culprits. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
