QUETTA:

Afghan border security forces again intruded into Pakistan territory near Qila Saifullah and opened fire on a passenger bus, killing a Pakistani and injuring four others on Monday morning.

According to sources, a passenger bus was passing near the Pak-Afghan border in Qila Saifullah when the deployed Afghan security forces crossed into Pakistani territory and opened fire.

Five Pakistanis onboard sustained bullet wounds. The injured were shifted to Quetta for treatment where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries upon arrival. The deceased was identified as Rahem Dad.

Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam took out a procession along with the body and protested outside the Quetta Press Club. “Afghan forces killed one Pakistani and injured four others,” Qadir Loni, JUI leader said, adding that the federal government should take up the issue with the Afghan government. “It was the second attack on Pakistanis during this year. Earlier, three Pakistanis were killed by Afghan security forces in February 2012.”

@A J Khan: Should be done this way. But then they are Muslims and Pashtuns. We have close to more than 32 million Pashtuns and so we cannot turn our backs on Afghan Pashtuns. How will our Pashtuns feel? Plus, and above all they are Muslims. And we cannot punish the Afghan refugees for what a handful of Afghan soldiers have done. Allah will do justice, insh'Allah!

Do I see an Jamat-e-Islami rally coming out against this violation of National Sovereignty? Pakistan should also consider closing down afghan transit trade. Lets put them in their right place. They have begun to think that they are nato!
