Road accident: One dead, seven injured

A girl died and seven others suffered injuries as a rickshaw they were riding was hit by a speedy tractor-trolley

KHANEWAL: A girl died and seven others, including five children, suffered injuries as a rickshaw they were riding was hit by a speedy tractor-trolley on Jhanian Road in Khanewal on Monday.  Witnesses said the girls were on their way home from school on the rickshaw when it was crushed by the tractor-trolley in Chak 163 10-R. The injured were taken to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital while the body of the deceased was sent to her home in the village. The truck driver managed to flee.
